Below information applies to both of our Afterschool (ASP) Locations

NOTE TO NEW FAMILIES:
Our program is overseen by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services. We have regulations that we have to follow, including limitations on the number of children who can attend each day. We are restricted from going over the number limit, no exceptions.


CRPS has a limit of 29 children per day
Brookside has a limit of 20 children per day

 If the program is full, you can select the option to be put on our wait list through the online catalog. If you have difficulty doing this, please contact our office and a staff person can assist you. 

If a spot opens up, we actively contact those on the waiting list starting with the first child on the list.


2025/2026 School Year Registration Dates: 
Returning Families:  June 3, 2025 at 9:00 am
New Families: June 10, 2025 at 9:00 am
(Space for new families is extremely limited)
Now with your choice of 2 locations, Council Rock Primary School or Brookside Community Center 
  
We will follow all local and state health and safety mandates to ensure our program meets the needs of your family!

All Program Information is subject to change based on guidelines and requirements set by Local and State Authorities, and the BCSD schedule.

 Please submit your bus requests to BCSD Transportation Department for the days you anticipate needing.

Are you looking for quality, safe, affordable, afterschool care for your K - fifth grader for the school year? Brighton Recreation has put in the hard work to build an afterschool program that meets the needs of our families attending Brighton Schools. No membership required and pay for only the days that match your child's school schedule. 
 
We are committed to the health and safety of your children and staff. The Afterschool Program in Brighton has been designed to meet the ever-increasing needs of working parents who seek quality supervision for their child.  We are looking forward with pride and confidence to a successful program.
  
 We are registered with NYSOCFS and have high staff ratios to ensure a safe, fun, program for your child.

Program provides structured recreation activities for children including: games, arts and crafts, sports, special events, time outside and time for homework.

2025/2026 FEES:

$25.00/ Day if received before the 1st of each month

$27.00 / Day if received on or after the 1st of each month

  • Each Program follows Brighton School Calendar
  • Transportation must be requested through the BCSD transportation office 
  • Spaces are filled on a first come, first served basis!
  • You must register every school year!

 Our program will be held at Council Rock Primary School!  
  
 K - 2nd graders will come directly to the program after school 
 3rd - 5th graders at French Rd Elementary School may be bussed to us! 
 We operate Monday - Friday until 6:00 pm.  
 
The Afterschool Program is open to children entering Grades K – 5

BROOKSIDE ASP

 Brookside ASP is held at the 
Brookside Community Center, 1666 Winton Rd. South! 
(Please use Winton Rd. Entrance only)
 
 K - 5th graders from CRPS & FRES may be bussed to us!
We operate Monday - Friday until 6:00 pm.
