The Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Advisory (IDEA) Board is comprised of volunteers charged with creating a vision and strategy for encouraging and supporting a more inclusive, more diverse and equitable Brighton community. The Board’s primary scope of work has been to develop an Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Action (IDEA) Plan for the Town and to review Town policies and procedures in a comprehensive manner as they relate to best practices in matters of inclusion, diversity and equity. With input from other residents, the Board developed the IDEA Plan to serve as a road map for diversity and inclusion initiatives in Brighton on an ongoing basis. The Town Board adopted the Plan in October 2022. Next, the IDEA Board will help foster the implementation of the Plan. To view the Plan, please click on the image below.

Meetings are held in the first floor conference room at Empire State University, 680 West Fall Rd., the new temporary location for Town Hall.
